The 2nd International Conference on Computing and Machine Intelligence (ICMI), which will be held on July 15-16, 2022, welcomes papers on broad aspects of AI and Applied Sciences that constitute advances in the overall field including, but not limited to, cognition and AI, automated reasoning and inference, case-based reasoning, commonsense reasoning, computer vision, constraint processing, ethical AI, heuristic search, human interfaces, intelligent robotics, knowledge representation, machine learning, multi-agent systems, natural language processing, planning and action, and reasoning under uncertainty. The conference reports results achieved in addition to proposals for new ways of looking at MI and Computing problems, both of which must include demonstrations of value and effectiveness.

Papers describing applications of MI & Computing are also welcome, but the focus should be on how new and novel MI and Applied Sciences methods advance performance in application areas, rather than a presentation of yet another application of conventional methods. Papers on applications should describe a principled solution, emphasize its novelty, and present an indepth evaluation of the techniques being exploited.

All papers will be peer reviewed by two reviewers and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The full paper submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. Topics of interest for ICMI Conference, but are not limited to those topics as below.

At least one author of each accepted paper should register and pay the fee to present the paper in the conference. The full fee includes the attendance of the conference, the access to the proceedings. All payments are non-refundable.

Presentation Rules

• It is mandatory to present your paper in the conference. Any paper not presented in the conference will not be included for indexing in IEEE eXplorer.
• The conference spans over two days. Different sessions will be arranged and you will present your paper live in your specified session.
• Conference program will be shared two days before the conference.
• Committee will send you an invitation link two days before the conference to meet via through Google Meet. You should be able to click and join the conference.
• Each session will be moderated by respective session chair.
• The communication language which is used both during the presentation and Q&A session must be delivered in English.

Presentation Format

All authors are requested to follow the following guidelines for preparation of your presentation slides:

• The allocated time for each presentation is 15 minutes. The presenter will present the paper for 10-12 minutes. Each paper will be followed by a 1-3 minutes Question/Answer session.
• We encourage you to put ICMI logo, Title on every powerpoint slide.
• Authors must make sure good internet connection and uninterrupted electricity to avoid any unintended circumstances.
• The slide design should be as simple as possible. Avoid using paragraphs in the slides. They should be compact and to the point.
• Audiance are requested to ask questions during the Q/A session at the end of presenation.
• Due to time constraint, we encourage all presenters to make 10-12 number of slides only.

The final version of a paper should be not exceed 5 pages including references. The manuscript should be prepared according to the guidelines defined by IEEE Conference Proceedings Templates (Microsoft Word, Latex). The paper should be submitted in word or pdf format (in English only). An extra fee will be charged for each additional page above 5 pages. All submissions should be made through EasyChair.

The paper should define the scope of the paper, emphasizing new advances, theories and/or applications and include an analysis of results.

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by at least two referees. The evaluation will be purely based on their originality, significance, quality, and clarity.

Carefully follow these instructions to prepare your final manuscript for publication in IEEE.

Step 1: IEEE-Xplore-compatible PDF generation

The final paper must be converted into PDF and verified using IEEE PDF eXpress web tool. PDF files not compatible with IEEE PDF express could be rejected.

Follow these instructions to generate an IEEE-Xplore-compatible PDF file using the IEEE PDF eXpress:

• Create an IEEE PDF eXpress account and enter following information:
  - Conference ID :55296X
  - Your email address
  - A password
• Validating your paper:
  You need to upload your file for validation. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.

Step 2: IEEE copyright transfer form submission

To include your accepted paper in both the conference proceedings volume and the IEEE xplore digital library, one of the authors must fill and sign the IEEE copyright transfer form. You need to fill the following information about corresponding author and submit it. IEEE will send the copyight form to the corresponding author for signature. Any paper without the corresponding author's signture will not be index in IEEE eXplore.

Review Process

• Each paper will be reviewed by three reviewers.
• Plagisrism report must not exceed 15% .
• All papers must be written in English.

Publishing & Indexing

1. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. Any paper not meeting IEEE requirements will not be submitted for indexing in IEEE Xplore.
2. Selected high quality papers accepted and presented at the 2nd International Conference on Computing and Machine Intelligence (ICMI 2022) will be invited to submit extended versions for this special issue in Manchester Journal of Artificial Intelligence & Applied Sciences

All accepted papers that are presented will be awarded with a presentation certificate.

A Best Paper certificate will be awarded to author of best paper.
